Bumper disassembly

Does anyone know if you can remove the plastic step tred stuff off the front and rear bumper? And how to do it?

I need it off for media blasting and painting... It will be reinstalled!

I think there are holes in the bumper that the plastic clips into, so if you took it off it would probably look like crap.

I would be putting it back on... I just need to take it off for media blasting and painting...

But your thinking it just clips in like most things on the truck?

I think, but im not sure that its unclippable without breaking it, plus you got an 08 which i just realized, so that may be entirely different.

ive taken the rear bumper off and yes they arer just clips that will be easy to take off once you remove the bumper. the plastic tabs will not break if you use a set of pliers to squeeze them.
