Custom Grill

So I'm looking at getting a new grill, and like the look of the mesh ones, but no way in hell will I pay 700+ for a damn grill. Anyone here ever made their own? advice? I'm about to just wing it as always.

I've thought about making my own by using thin aluminum 90* stock and wire mesh. I'd like to see how yours turns out. I agree that they cost too damn much.

Going to get up early and get the measurements for it all; didn't end up having time to drop by the store tonight so that's after measurements. Before cutting any metal (due to cost) I think I'm going to do a cardboard mock up just to help my visual personality. More than likely going with some weldable steel just to make things easier if i see welding is necessary, not sure how all of this will come together, but I guess we'll see. Will update tomorrow.

Just a minor detail, found this online-- Storm Trooper | EMBLEMS, BADGES, & LOGOS

I feel as though I'm essentially required to buy it.

There is a guy on PSA with a white reg cab truck that made his own grill. Looks good. If you can, post up a walk through on how you do it. It's something I would like to do on my truck as well.

well most of the day was spent drinking some Shiner creativity fluid deciding how we wanted to mount this, decided on mounting it from behind. Then finally got some cutting done and I actually cut it right the first time. Custom Grill-imageuploadedbyag-free1397863931.062682.jpgCustom Grill-imageuploadedbyag-free1397863941.241448.jpg
