Where are you getting chips? Is it just in the rockers? I run CRE Rocker Flares to keep the rock chips off my rockers. The go along the bottom of the rocker (right above my bars in the pics). I like them and they are the best alternative to fender flares. They don't stop the tires from making the truck dirty though which is nice about fender flares
I am getting rock chips like right above my exhaust pipe and down by the botton of my doors. Like you said, the fender flares would help more to keep the windows and side of my truck clean during muddy days, i just cant make up my mind on what would look good.

Well I've only had my truck 6 months but the Rocker Flares have kept the bottom portion of my truck chip free. I don't have any chips on the rockers, bottom of the doors, or behind the rear wheels. If you don't want the full fender flares I would definitely recommend these.
