Topper recommendations & pics?

All,
The wifey and I are planning a 3 week trip across the country.
Florida to Pacific coast Canada.

And were taking the superduty!!! (YEA)
So I figure a topper might make the trip easier storage, opening up the
cab for sitting sleeping etc.
any pics and where you got yours would greatly apperciated!!!
Thanks!
BTW Im in a 08' 4dr short bed.

excellent pics all.
my SD just clears my garage door by about 3" so a topper
thats taller than my roof would be to tall. so looks like a same as roof height topper.
Also, looking online at new/used units their seems to be some contention about
the fitting of a '08 vs the pre 08's like will a '07 fit on a '08 but from what I can tell
unless its for an '08 then its a try before your buy scenario
Thanks all thus far.

Leer makes a great topper, but they're pricey compared to other brands such as A.R.E. You definately get the best with Leer but you pay for it. Personally to me a topper is a topper so long as it looks good to you on the outside. Wish I still had mine. I bought one used on Ebay for $200, spent probably $100 in fuel to go pick it up, and then dropped $300 to have it paint matched to my truck. I only put it on in the winter time or when I made a long trip, but this summer while it was sitting on its pair of 4x4's, a tornado came through, picked it up and tossed it. Busted it all to hell. Oh well that's life. I know a new Leer like what I had will price around $1800 (what I was quoted). Used toppers aren't worth squat compared to new ones. My advise is to find a used one and have it painted.
