Chrome rims or black rims - looking for advice/input

After this winter is over I was thinking of getting my rims powder coated Gloss Black(powder coat guy up here calls it mercedes black). I bought the rims used and one has one big chip out of the chrome and its probably only a matter of time before the others start. I am lookin for guys, especially with black trucks, to show me some pics of there black rims. I thought about doin these rims black, with the outside band(ring right inside the tire) polished and try to find some chrome lug nuts for an aftermarket wheel that will allow me to put back on my stock harley center caps. Lookin for pics and opinions.

Painted or powder coated? if paint, how will it last? Might have to give that a try.

I just painted em. Sanded em pretty good, then about 2-3 coats flat black and then 2-3 coats semi gloss. Prolly should of stuck with flat black but I can always re-paint them. As far as how long will they last, I'll have to let ya know.

your truck would look good with black wheels, try painting them yourself.

Ive painted chrome nerf bars before, just scuff them up and clean them, use a quality primer & paint. krylon from wal mart works good.
if they chip just touch them up whenever you clean the truck.
