I have always thought the coil over trucks rode better than the others. My buddy had a lifted superduty with coil overs all the way around and it rode better than any lifted truck i have ever ownd or even rode in for that matter

BUT....if I wanted to spend hella coin on mine I would go coilovers for the va jaja factor without a doubt.

All depends on the spring rate and valving of the coilover compared to the spring rate of a coil spring and valving of the shock used.

They can be setup to ride almost identically, but the springs used on coilovers are race springs and can handle more abuse.

You can adjust coilovers more using a dual rate or a single progressive rate, play around with valving etc..

Of course the larger piston on 2.5 and 3.0 coilovers offers more dampening ability than a 2.0 shock without the harshness.
