If you are going to just run 38's i would stay with the 8" rize and not add the 2" spacer as the rize lifts normally sit about an inch higher than other manufactures lifts and you will clear the 38's fine. But if you want to go with 40's then you will need the extra 2" and going with the rear setup like Pahrump has is the way to go. Also if you go up to 40's you are probably going to want to regear since you are going to be in the sand and that will really tax the truck and tranny with out it

You can get the 2" under spring spacers and new bolts to install them off Ebay a guy named Jason from Newton Lifts...hes super cool and easy to deal with...puts out nice stuff..solid billet.

You will probably need new shocks...cause most the time they shocks they sell you for an 8" lift are for a 6-8 to at 10" they would be maxed...if you have not bought shocks yet then buy them for a 10" and they will work perfect for the 8" as well.

One other thing you might need is an adjustable track bar to center the axle...the RIZE 8" kit will drop the bar down and have the axle centered with the 8" but after you bump it 2" it will move it over towards the driver side some....maybe not enough to matter...on mine I needed an adjustable track bar..bought the ICOM for less than $200 from caryt, a vendor here..its a super nice part.

In the rear you can go a few routes....the RIZE spring pack and a bigger block....a BIG block....my favorite...cause IMO you need traction bars at that height anyhow...AND I USE my truck every day towing and hauling heavy loads....so I like the factory capacity..get the OUO Traction Blocks...if you go 10" in the front, then order the 10" OUO setup with a 5* angle and take out your factory block...this will have you sitting very much level.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Scott
wow that seams like one hell of a job, but i love your truck and thats pretty much exactly what im after. hopefully i will be doing this very soon and in that case will be picking your brain for all your info to pretty much set mine up just like yours.

ya i really am wanting to clear 40's and as much as i would love to keep the truck a little lower just so i dont have one of those monster truck you see that cant even touch the dirt without being scared of rolling, i really dont think the extra 2" is gonna be that big of a deal.

now are you saying to regear because it will put too much stress on the truck and tranny or cuz its gonna kill my power being put to the ground?

Here's a 10" Rize with 38s:

I agree with One Up Offroad Traction blocks being the best option for the rear of the 08s, IMO.

16" lift and 40s:

Here's another:

ya that is PERFECT, just needs a little bit of a bigger tire to fill up that gap in the wheel well.

I agree I think I like the 37's on an 8'' lift and the 40's on a 10'' lift.

ya, and its all rize except for the coilovers.

its sick and the ride is unbeatable but im gonna have to stick with the coil and shock for now and upgrade to the coilovers later, just way to expensive all at once.

I will step out here and say IMO the coilovers dont ride any better, and maybe not as well as well matched coils/shocks.

BUT....if I wanted to spend hella coin on mine I would go coilovers for the va jaja factor without a doubt.
