Wow, that is a very good price for the 38x15.50 and pretty dang good on the 38x13.50 as well. I'm guessing they have some inventory they are trying to move? I checked all around where I live and couldn't get those prices. I even checked some internet sites as well and by the time I paid shipping they weren't any cheaper. I am running them on a 10" wheel and don't have any issues. I believe some other on here are as well. I know it's not ideal but there aren't many 12" wheels out there. |

Depending on which 38/15.50 you should be fine on a 10" wide wheel. I know on Dick Cepek Mud Country and Mickey Thompson MTZ you pretty much need a 12" wide wheel since they are the widest 15.50 tire I've seen and you get a lot of sidewall flex if you mount them on 10" wide wheels. I run 38/15.50R20 DC Muds and thought they were fine on 20x10s, but now that I upgraded to 20x12s it drives/rides/handles much better. |

I think Dan is right on. With the Toyo M/T you are only gaining 1.6 width from a 13.5 to 15.5. For what it's worth I didn't notice any difference in ride or handling going from the 37x13.5 to 38x15.5. When I'm in the market for new wheels I'll look for an 11 or 12" wheel but I plan on running these just like they are for now.
I would say def go with the 38x15.5. Not only does the stance look better on an 8" they are cheap!!! Well at least for you they are. |
