Adding Cab Lights on a 2008
My truck did not come with cab lights and i almost did not buy it for that reason so now i am wanting to add them. Does any one know what the cost would be to do this as far as parts and what all is needed. I will have a body shop or possibly the dealership put them on as i do not trust myself. Any onfo would be appreciated

My truck didn't come with either but I really wanted some on it. So I looked around and got some prices and i finally got some. I got factory cab lights for $50 and the wiring harness for $45. That wasn't a big deal to pay for that. The hard part was finding someone to put them on a 08 cause no body has put cab lights on them. I got it price from ford dealership and it was 300 to put them on but if the had to take the dash off it would be another 200. That was a little too much for putting some lights on. I checked with RPM Offroad and it was like 420 to have them put on. Then I talked to the dealership I bought the truck from and they knew a place that could do it for 200. I went with that one. It took 4.5 hours to install it and charged me 180 for so I was pleased. The lights really make a big difference in the look of your truck. I just wouldn't pay 400 or 500 to have the put on.

Be sure to do it right and have everything snug... My friend put some on his dodge, long story short, after the first thunderstorm he needed a new headliner and cd player from getting wet...!

Can the average Joe with average tools install these lights? Or must you find professions with special shop equipment to complete the installation? |
