2008 Vent Visors

So I bought a set window vent visors from the dealership for my '08 F-250 SC. The installation instructions call for tucking them in under the mirror housing. Unfortunately, the instructions haven't been updated for the 2008's so I'm not really sure how to loosen my mirrors to tuck them under the housing. I found 2 nuts under some rubber caps inside the door, but when i loosened them the mirrors still didn't move. Does anyone have any insight on how to loosen my mirrors enough to tuck these vent visors under the housing, or should I just scrap them and get the in window channel versions?

There are 3 nuts that hold the mirrors on

Where is the 3rd nut? I have a 3rd rubber grommet, but there's just a slot with no nut. wait that sounded really bad.

This is bad, but I just put 08 mirrors on my truck about 2 or 3 months ago and don't exactly remember. I think you might have to take the door panel off to get to the third nut. Maybe someone else will know for sure...

I have no problem pulling my door panels off, but to do so to install a couple of stick on vent visors seems absolutely ridiculous. Leaning toward the in window channel versions more and more now.

I believe the rest of the nuts are behind that plastic trim piece next to the other nuts w/ rubber grommets, that trim piece pops off, I just put some vent visors on my 99 and there were 5 bolts I had to loosen, maybe the 08's are different but on my I just popped off the plastic trims piece next to the window and under there there is 3 more nuts... The in channels are better but i got these for $35 bucks at Shucks, it was hard to beat and they seem to hold on there great.
