Need help with 2008+ mirror housing p/n

I've been looking for the lower back cover/housing of the mirror assy and I can't seem to find out the part number or if it's even possible to order it. It's shown as being removeable (with screws) in the attached diagram.

I could be wrong but I believe you have to buy the whole mirror assembly.

That's what I figure too. I'm looking on eBay for a mirror to use as parts.

If you decide to replace the mirror all together go OEM. I put aftermarket 08+ mirrors on my 06 and after about a month they started to rattle. I've talked to others that had the same issue. Seems they just don't hold up. With only needing the lower housing you may be fine.. I just don't know that I would risk it. Even though an OEM mirror assembly was 1,200 when I checked it's worth it in my opinion if you can spare that kind of coin for it. I need to replace both of mine as the plastic gears for the power fold and extend have apparently been worn out. But for now I'll just do it by hand

They're $800/pair for power mirrors with the folding, telescoping, memory, turn signal/marker light, and heated mirror function. These are with the black covers, not the painted ones. For a set of primed covers, it's an additional $130. If you want chrome covers, it's an extra $250.

Yes. Factory, OEM mirrors. They're from Sunrise Ford. They're a site sponsor. I've ordered a few thing from them. Never had an issue. I even have a promo code for an additional 5% off. Just type EXTRA5 in the promo code box. Doesn't say when it expires though.

Their part diagram lists an actuator. Not sure what that actuator is for. Might be worth a call to them to see if that's an actuator for the folding mechanism.

This is the link to their site. Click here.
