Mirror questions! How do the Anzo or Recon LED side marker lights mount? Pics?

Hey guys, I don't own a super duty but I have a question for all those who do, and have installed the LED mirror side markers made by both Anzo and Recon.

I have an 06 F150, and am wanting to install towing mirrors. The only ones that really fit my truck don't have the side markers that the super duty's, as well as the new 2013 F150's have. But I want them! I need them! lol I have come up with a couple ideas to make this happen, the first one being, could a guy mesh super duty mirrors and F150 towing mirrors? Take the mirror it self, from a super duty, and mount them to the f150 mounting plate? I would have to be able to either completely slide the mirrors apart, and slide them onto the f150 mount, or take them apart where they fold in. I have no idea if either option is possible? They were assembled some how so they must come apart as well I would think? Anyone have any ideas on this idea?

My second and probably slightly more probable idea is to buy the f150 towing mirrors, cut them out and mount the aftermarket LED side markers into those. Problem is I have no idea how these things mount? If i cut out the mirror cover, are these lights going to simply snap in over the edge? Or what keeps them in place in the super duty mirrors? Another thought I had was, are the mirror covers the same from the super duty to the f150 tow mirrors? If so I could maybe just swap out the mirror cover for the super duty ones, which already have the hole, and slight inset for the lights. Does any one have any ideas or any thoughts for me? I don't have access to a super duty, or f150 towing mirrors to really get a good look at either one. Pics Is all I got! I need one of the lights and how they mount, as well as the hole in the mirror where they mount. So if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it!

Not sure the best route to go with updating the mirror but to get the cover out to expose the bulb, all i had to do was turn the mirror all the way to the right, then all the way up and their is a clip you can push with a flat head screw driver and it pops out (driver side). Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks for the reply. I finally got to take a look at both mirrors, and my ideas won't work, these two mirrors are built quite a bit differently. The spacing of the arms is very different, so none of the parts interchange. And there isn't enough room to put the super duty side marker light into the f150 mirror. Bummer. Gonna have to figure out something else.
