Remove Side Vents
How do you remove the side vents. My friend owns an auto body shop so we want to take them off and paint the red part black. Do they just pop off?

I used my fingers. Wasn't that hard. Start right under the F2/3/450 part of the badge and pry from the bottom, weaseling your fingers under, then working around the sides (of just this upper part). 5 clips. Once that is off, the bottom part has 3 clips, mostly towards the bottom. Start from the top and work your way down, being careful not to bend the fragile plastic too much. ![]()

It's a spray you put on before your first coat that makes paint stick to plastic. Any paint store would have it. You have to spray your first coat dry on top of the adhesion promoter while it's still wet. The first time I didn't get enough in all the small holes and that's where it started to flake after a few weeks.
