Removing the Grille

I'm replacing my grille with the Ford "chrome package"
grille. I'll post pics today ... as soon as someone tells
me the trick to remove the grille that's on here now.

Actually, I'm just about done I think; I removed the upper
seven plastic screws/pins. And, I've removed the two
lower metal bolts from the metal brackets that come down
from the hood. Now, I think all that is holding the grille
on is the upper ( and out of sight ) little clasps that appearantly
snap down into the hood. I'm getting ready to just give the
grille a good upward *smack* to see if the clasps pop up and
out ... but, I'm betting someone knows a better more sophisticated
way. Any tricks? I thought of using a plastic card ( like a credit
card ) to come in from the top and in between the hood
and grille to compress each clasp and have them pop loose
nicely. But, I've found the plastic card is too thick.

Ok, going to go mow the yard and wait for some advise

Well, a rubber mallet worked. Man I hate the sound of whappin'
on a new truck. It took about 6 smacks and it popped up and out.
The new grille is on, and it looks SMOKIN! I'll
post up some pics in a bit ...

Soon to come for the truck is a SnugTop Truck Cap/Shell,
8" BDS lift, and some new wheels and tires. ( Haven't
decided on the wheels and tires yet ... )

You're not kidding ... these stock tires and wheels are puny.
I'm not sure if I'll go with 20s though. Maybe 18s with 37s.
Haven't decided yet. Would like to put black wheels on it,
but I don't think it will look good with the chrome bumpers
and grille.

Going to have the 8" 4 link lift put on and then see what I
think will look right with it. I'm going to drive it around
lifted and with the puny tires for a few days just for the
heck of it though

Looks awesome, Where did you get the "chrome package" grille? I have been looking for one for my truck, makes the truck look better one step at a time.
