ok so I needed a new tonneau cover for my trip from Georgia to Pennsylvania, that will start tonight. I had a Extang tonneau but the binding around the edges had starter to come off, so the search began.
I looked at the normal websites, and found them starting around $170. Determined to not spend that much, I went to ebay and started to look around. I came upon a brand on there called N-Dure. Hmm never heard of them. using my google-fu, I found a few reviews of them on various truck forums. the reviews seem to be fairly decent. So I went back to the auction, and the price was $67.30 shipped. I decided to take the chance. I paid using PayPal, since I would be covered if this was crap.
4 days later (including the weekend), we had a package at our front door. My wife rolled her eyes as usual as I opened it with the excitement of a 7 year old on Christmas. What I found was the standard hardware, bows, cover, and rails. Nothing out of the ordinary, nor extraordinary. I unrolled the cover to inspect for its quality. hmm pretty nice, although it had like a weird white waxy covering on the binding area. whatever, that will wash off. I looked at the snaps and they are more like clips that snap into the channel of the rails. i like that.
Anyways Install was fairly straight forward, and went well without a hiccup if you follow the directions of snapping on the cab rail then the tailgate rail, then doing the sides.
Ok so its installed, and my thoughts are very very nice. I cant believe I only paid $67.30 for this. Why aren't they selling out of these covers. Awesome value, and quality!
Now the only con I can mention because its the only thing I have found after a week is this. The front rail of the bed has no plastic cap, so the front rail of the tonneau cover does not sit flush on the bed rail. I am heading to PA and will be hauling Christmas presents, clothes, and will be bringing home some small furniture back with me, So i was afraid of water, snow, slush and so on getting in. So i went to the local hardware store, and grabbed a roll of 1/2" foam insulation tape and installed it 2 layers high to ensure i get a good seal. Issue fixed
Overall I am happy and impressed, and have recommended it to a few friends who quickly purchased one as well. Hope this might help some of you!
