Face LIFT
OK So I am going to be the guy that wants to do something a bit different. Does anyone know if the F650/F750 Front end will bolt to the F550. I really want a F650 but there I have a snowballs chance in @*#$ of affording one. however if you but the two or three inch lift to put the Semi wheel conversion (22.5 in wheel with the HD high milage tires) would a F650 front end bolt on? I am just trying to do something a little different and possibly cheaper. Any Ideas?

I am 99% sure it will go on....dont think "bolt on" but it will line up with some work....I remember seeing a truck in a mag that was really a F350 but had the F650 front end on it....or atleast I think I remember seeing it.

I have measured the framerails on the F650 and the F550 Chassi cab. They are identical as for distance. According to the Ford fleet sales brochure the front end is a one piece fiberglass front end that bolts to the frame.
Short of drilling some holes I don't think that it would be all that difficult to do that... I think the hard part will be the rear side of the fenders that mate up to the cab. |

most of the 650 pickup conversions use f150 headlights....just a little FYI for you

i believe a lot has to be modified - from the firewall to the radiator support. but it can be done.

Ive seen it done once before where a guy converted his f350 to an f650 front end and made it a harley truck too with a massive lift sitting on 52s it looks awesome

The 550 and 650s use the same cabs so the body lines will match. It has been done but it will be some work to fabricate mounts. Here is an example from SEMA 2006:
