I hate a damn thief...

Well looks like I will have to call Ford tomorrow and take my truck in to have the door handle and key lock replaced on the drivers side. Someone decided they wanted in my truck tonight at dinner. Luckily there was nothing in my truck as I have been driving my car.

They drove a screwdriver through the key hole and then broke the door handle trying to get in. Not actually sure if they got in since nothing was taken, but then again nothing was in there.

Any ideas on what a replacement handle and labor will cost?

if my memory is correct the handle is about 70 + bucks, 10 bucks or so for the lock cylinder and not sure about the labor.

I feel your pain though! last week some jerk off tried to break into my rig at work

I guess we all hate that crap more than just about anything. I had some jacka$$ kids break into my restored 1970 VW Beetle.

Broke the vent window and frame that will cost me about $250 to fix, to steal a pair of $30 speakers from Walmart...

I feel your pain. Someone tried to break in to my truck earlier this year.

I thought about getting some chrome handles and having them black powder coated because I am not a chrome person but that would be a waste.

So... I am going to talk to a buddy of mine that has a CNC shop and see if he can make some in 304 or 316L and just have them powder coated and then install the handle...hmmm
