Well it's all that and the fact that the punishment does not fit the crime.
They might get picked up, if they are seen and then overnight, then see ya later.
Their record does not matter to them, if your on welfare and selling drugs your record does not matter. No accountability

Don't waste your money or time on jimmy jammers. They don't work. All they do is push a little harder and they still get in. I know this first hand. I took out the little mechanism that allows them to get in on mine and my buddies truck. It's saved him at least 3 times and me at least twice. They are too stupid to figure out they can't get in that way and when they do figure it out they aren't prepared to bust the window so they get frustrated or scared and just leave without getting into your truck.

I came up with another idea the other day. I know this is extremely illegal but it's almost worth the jail time. Put 00 buck shot round in the keyhole with an electric operated trigger. When they push hard it goes off and hopefully takes there arm off at the very least. You'll probably have a bigger hole in your door but it would be so worth it.

They drove a screwdriver through the key hole and then broke the door handle trying to get in. Not actually sure if they got in since nothing was taken, but then again nothing was in there.

Any ideas on what a replacement handle and labor will cost?
man really sorry to hear. I modded my door handle.
but I dont think it'll save me when/if a thief tries my ride.
perhaps a machine gun tied to a string on the inside. so when they open the door. etc.. Im gonna say "I HATE THIEVES!!!" the handle is 70.00 plus paint if you need it. and its a real piece of cake to replace. 30 mins tops.
