wheel offset

iam new to forum. i have a 08 f250 fx4 with 18s. i don't like the rims and want to replace them with some different 18's. my question is what offset should i go with. i want 18x9 and will put stock tires on and 35's later with small lift. thanks for help

First off, not saying you don't know but a minus offset will shift the tire out from under the vehicle, a positive offset will bring the tire back under the vehicle. So the larger the negative offset the deeper the wheel is and the more the tire will stick out.

Now that we got that out of the way, I have a similar tire/wheel size to what you describe. My wheel offset is -24 and they look like this on my ride

So if you go with something roughly around the same offset, you'll have a similar look. By the way, the offset is metric (mm).

i wouldnt run the stock tires on a 9" wheel, its to wide.

thanks guys.smotrs your truck looks good. I was thinking about a 18x9 0ffset rockstar or a +18 hoss on a 35x12.5 pro-comp extreme AT. dusten why can't I put the stock tire (275x70x18) on a rim thats only 1in. wider

pretty much to keep it under the truck youll want the rockstar that comes with 5" of back spacing the part # is xd77589087300

These wheels are 20x10 with a +10 offset, running 35's.

It was the 2.5 full kit not just the front level. I like it, its really easy to install me and a friend did it in an hour and a half. I just wanted enough lift to clear 35's so this was my choice. This way I can still fit in the garage if I need to.
