OEM Grill Disassemble and paint

Does anyone have a write up on how to remove the front grill an dpull all the inserts out without damaging the clips. See my grill in sig it has all the tan inserts and I want to remove it and scuff up the chrome and paint it white to match the truck then put the tan inserts back in. Has anyone done this on a white/tan King Ranch? I would like to see what it looks like.

Honestly it's very easy to take the grill off our trucks.

A quick trick to avoid scratching the paint on your truck it to put a strip of painters tape between the upper portion of the grill and the hood.

There are a couple of bolts on the bottom and screws at the top. Once they have been removed pull towards you from the bottom and push up (painters tape , from there on the top there are a few clips that will pop off easily. It should take you less than 15 minutes.

From here you'll see the pop tabs on the back side to pull apart the rest of the grille. Good luck with your project.

Ok cool, so the tan inserts will pop out the back pretty easily? Now I would like to see a pic of a white grill with the tan inserts
