Honestly it's very easy to take the grill off our trucks.
A quick trick to avoid scratching the paint on your truck it to put a strip of painters tape between the upper portion of the grill and the hood.
There are a couple of bolts on the bottom and screws at the top. Once they have been removed pull towards you from the bottom and push up (painters tape , from there on the top there are a few clips that will pop off easily. It should take you less than 15 minutes.
From here you'll see the pop tabs on the back side to pull apart the rest of the grille. Good luck with your project.
