there is no such thing as "BEST LIFT"....it's " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"....lol If you spend $1,200 on a lift....that's what you'll get,...but if you spend $4,000....which do you think will be better? I have a GOOD lift...it is a DR/ICON 4.5" lift...and I have 41" IROKS....with some trimming....lol BTW- If you are worried about MPG's.....stop....get a car |

I dont agree...with you get what you pay for. What you use the vehicle for should factor in.......if you are driving on the street....theres no need for some of the high dollar lifts with all the extra stuff.....not if you are beating the hell out of the truck in the trails, desert, sand...etc...then yes...you get what you pay for.....engineering. |

As I said....if you beat the truck...then yes...I agree...4 link...etc is needed and better...hell I think the rear coilovers are pretty bad ***...IF you are gonna use them. You saying most expensive is best though is not the right answer.....theres some kits that are overkill even for abuse that are not as good as some other kits that cost less. But no...the $1K lift is not the best choice for someone thats going to hit the dunes, and the desert at any speed. |

I have DR's basic kit, and ProComp 6" rear springs,..because I didn't want ANY block,..springs straight to the perch....so I have about $2,000 into my lift. I just like to jump into these threads to give guys other options...that's all. Even though you "can" tow with a 14" lift...doesn't mean it's a good idea... So whenever I see a guy asking about lifts, and that he tows,..and wants big tires,..I figure I'll chime in. I have a TOTAL of 4.5" lift, and 41" tires,...perfect for towing,..nice and low, but huge tires, which also makes working out of the bed another plus, over a big lift. And a few more good things about small lifts and doing what I did,...low COG, wider stance, and less "driveline issues", and mostly,........it's wayyyyyyyyy cheaper....I think....lol. |

If you complain about a loss of MPG and you are lifting your truck and putting big tires on it......you are wasting your time and your money. WHO CARES......we don tlift trucks to save MPH. If you want that we need to start investing in Hybrids! lol
