Different kind of exhaust tips

So I've been toying with the idea of getting my exhaust redone. Just hopng to get some feedback or maybe some different ideas. Everyone has seen 1/2 ton gassers running around their local towns with the 45 degree mitre cut exhaust tips on the rear. I love that look, so what I was thinking of doing is getting dual 6 inch mitre cut stack tips and getting a muffler shop to weld em up underneath my truck at 45 degrees out behind the rear tires. Anyone else think that'd look good?

Just for reference. I currently am running the Diamond Eye 5 inch turbo back straight pipe

IMO diesels look best with hidden exhausts. I like your idea of the 45• but hidden over the rear axle I think would look good. I have a single over the rear axle pointing down and like it a lot. I would like someday to get my tips dual and chrome, I'll see if I can find a pic

Might be a dumb question.. But what is the point of wasting money on tips if you're dumping it above the rear axle where you won't see it? Much less the point of dual dumps?

This question is for the guys that dump over the axle/under the bed. How is the sound difference as far as resonance, drone, etc? Second question is about smell. I love the smell of diesel but I have been told that dumping over the axle allows a nasty, oily smell (not a diesel exhaust smell) to develop under the bed that you notice even when the engine is not running. Any truth to the second one?

IMO, it's a cleaner look without seeing the exhaust, and that photo isn't my truck but its probably lifted so you can see the tips if you look. Also, it hides that obvious aftermarket huge exhaust tips from the cops.
