Pinstripe Removal

The pinstripe on my truck was done rather poorly and is missing in a few spots. What's the consensus on the best way to remove the pinstripe. I've see the 3M eraser tool, the oven cleaner method, and a whole host of other things. Any ideas on which path to take?
