Another plastic dipped project. Tan 2tone to Black

Well I did my front bumper and ford logos a month ago and finally did the tan two tone on the lower rockers and fender flares today. Came out pretty nice, I made my cut off line on the pinstripe tape for a reference. If I was to do this again I would buy a bucket of it so I could spray with a paint gun, it would come out way better. I'll do the rear bumper tomorrow if I get time.

Before:

After:

Thought I'd share if anybody was contemplating doing the same thing. When I get enough coin I'll do actual real paint or vinyl wrap, but this will do in the mean time.

I got mine at Home Depot, $6.00 a can here in the north Dallas area.

Jay- mine has a Black and Tan pinstripe, tan on top n bottom and black in the middle. I taped off right above the black line and left the tan. Ill take a close up pic tomorrow, it looks good though.

I looked into vinyl wrap, it cost about $500 in materials. I can paint myself, so I'll do it in the future sometime when I have time! And save some cash

5.99 a can here at all the local hardware stores. If you want the colors like red, blue, pink, etc, its 10.99 or something like that. I forget how much my red cost me

I clay bared it with mcguires detail spray and clay bar then I taped it all off. I was able to slide pieces of tape behind the fender flares which worked great for masking off

I went ahead and did the side vents and grills on each side. Here's a close up on the edge termination.
