exterior leds

Anyone replaced the LEDS in the reverse lights, cargo lights, license plate lights, and the front turn signal/parking lights.

Wondering what is a good brand and what all will need to be done as far as putting in resistors. what are the bulb numbers if anyone knows.

When I did my '01, I used LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS - They've worked for me.

I didn't put any in the back up lights, but license plate lights, front turn/side markers. I changed out my whole 3BL assembly that had LEDs. The bulb numbers should follow what the regular bulbs are. Look in your owner's manual for what bulb goes where.

I didn't add resistors, I changed the flasher unit to one capable of handling LEDs. No fast flash.

I think I've read the newer trucks can go into the computer to tell it to turn off the bulb out feature. Check your manual for that too.

I did my parking lights/turn signal up front with switchbacks (parking light function is white led, then turn signal function turns amber) I tried LED bulbs in the tail lights but they really suck and the lights were not bright at all, so I replaced the whole taillight with an LED tail light. I also replaced the tag lights with LED's but they crapped out already. Switched the third brake light to an LED fixture as well.

I got the resistors but haaven't installed them yet. FastFlash doesn't bother me

Where do you get the switchbacks? I'd really like to do that n my truck....

it seems there are a lot of different styles of the same bulb on most sites. does it matter?

also can the dealer re program the computer to blink normally with the leds? i dont want to have to install resistors and mess with my stock wiring.
