08 FX4 grill

What is the difference between the regular grill and the FX4 grill in 08??? All that I see is the finish? Every billet grill I have found says, will not fit FX4...

This SUX!!!!

The FX4 grille just has the three openings and the regular grille has 6. Apparently the manufacturers have stuck with the more common grille instead of the FX4. Only two companies offer them and both are charging alot for them. The Carriage Works one above I don't care for, the bars are spaced too far apart compared with other grilles I've owned and the T-rex.

I have the carriage works one... and it make the truck look killer... Way better in person..

The only problem is that it is a pain in the a$$ to put on.. You basically have to cut the old grille out and put the new one in its place... if your not handson and they I would hire someone to do it...

Sounds just like the grill on my old F-350 Sport where I had to cut it all apart with a dremel. It takes a while but looks so clean when it's done right.

Any pics of it installed? I'd like to see a real life example other than their stock photo.

Thats so funny... I actually burnt out a dremel cutting the pieces out... I returned it for another one... It took me way to long to get it done... But it came out pretty killer.....

Ill try to get some photos in the next day or two...

I just installed the TREX on my FX. It was a PIA but came out good. Took me about 3 or 4 hrs. I used a grinder with a cutting wheel and a dremel.
Check my gallery for some pics.

Looks good...

Mine looks very similar, but without the ford emblem...

I personally like it better without it....
