BROKEN RADIO ANTENNA OTHER CHOICES??

Took my ride to the only carwash that fits my height and tires in the area.Well when they tried to get the antenna off they couldn`t figure it out so i took a qiuck look and said f**k it just send it through. The truck came out very clean and with a broken antenna about an inch from the rubber boot.SOOOO i`m looking for an aftermarket antenna that easily unscrews and maybe had a different look. From a quick disgusted glance it looks like i need to remove the wipers and take that black panel off to get to it. Any helpful suggestions would appreciated Thanks

no XM Sirius uses a new pod antenna

it's satellite radio .. IDK on your situation but the cowl on my 06 was damaged and took like 20 minutes andthe wiper is designed to come right off ,, so in all actuality the OEM radio antennas always seem best over the short "cool" ones

I can't believe yours didn't have a hex base to simply remove it ? heck most vehicles have a tool in the glove box for this procedure

When I had an OBS, I took off the factory antenna and put on a short black one from Wal Mart so it wouldn't hit the top of the garage when I pulled in. I returned the antenna and put the factory one back on within a day. It had horrible reception.

Guess I just always cut my factory one down, and stick the ball back on the top of it. Its a cheap mod plus it dont wreck the garage from sticking up too high and rubbing on the molding
