Removing Running Board Light Covers
I took my truck to an audio shop and they replaced the running board light bulbs with LED bulbs. The tech was removing the covers and said he didn't think he removed them the right way but that he got them removed. I'm now getting water in there so I was wondering what is the correct way to remove them so I can seal them with silicone and put them back on nice and dry. Thanks.

They are a huge pain in the *** to remove. I almost broke the one before I gave up because none of my running board lights work but all my fuses are good. I removed one lamp and changed the bulb and it still didnt work so I gave up. If you take a putty knife you can stick it in the top of the lip of the plastic trim. You have to push down because there are 2 clips the are on the outer edges of the top. Once you push those down enough you can pull it right out. I found that the lights are really fragile so what probably happened is the guy popped the lens off the lamp and just glued it back on. Im in the process of trying to figure out how to get my running board lights working and getting someone to do it for me so I dont break them all, ahahah.
