Got Bored and Painted My Grill
So as the title states, I got bored the other day and decided to mess with my grill, I was getting bored of the same look. Im not sure if I like it yet but the more I see it the more its growing on me. Tell me what you guys think.
Thanks http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/att...1&d=1334318236 http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/att...1&d=1334318263 |

To me it looks incomplete, I'm thinking you need to paint the sides of the hood from the headlights to the window cowling, not the raised part just the lower part. Then paint the sides of your tailgate the same width as the hood. Also Harley headlights. JMO

I like it, its different. I think painting the hood like stated above might look cool. What did you paint it with and how well did it stick to the chrome.

I tried using Plasti-Dip, it sticks perfectly. I didnt prime or even scuff up the chrome. The best part about it is that if you mess up, once it dries you can peel it off like a vinyl wrap. I tried it out on different places on the truck and it peeled off just like its advertised. That doesnt mean that itll peel off with any slight touch, you have to pick at the corrners until you can get it lifted up a bit to peel it off completely.
I really want to get the harley lights but theyre a little pricey. |

I've read where some guys have somehow taken the lights apart and painted the inside black.

Yea Ive read that too, but Im not too good at that kinda stuff and afraid ill screw it up.
But the Harleys are expensive so I have to figure something out lol |

Maybe get a slightly damaged headlight from a wrecker and practice taking it apart.

Harley lights would look good on it. There is a ton on here about painting headlights. I been thinking about buying some from somebody and trying it myself, just havent yet. I've seen them for sale in the forum from $130 to $300. Guess you just have to shop around. Good looking truck though. I like different and yours is different.
