So i smoked my tail lights and side lights. and i also color matched my side vents. The side vents definitely took some time because i had to get all that black paint out of the F-250 writing. but it was worth the time and effort to get something unique. let me know what you think

^ Me too.
Looks good! What/how did you do the lenses? |

I started off by wet sanding them with 2,000 grit sand paper. then cleaned them with a prep solvent. taped off the reverse light. then sprayed the whole thing with adhesion promoter. then i sprayed 2 coats of of VHT night shades, then 5 coats of clear. then i lightly wet sanded them again and finished it off with a rubbing compound. my spray job wasn't completely perfect but it turned out great.
i sprayed them once and it didn't turn out looking so well so i had to strip all the paint back off and start from the beginning but luckily this stuff comes off easy with acetone so if you do make a mistake its easy to fix it. |

Looks very nice man!!! I am wanting to do that to my side vents. How did you get the paint off of the vent?

it totally sucks, took about an hour with q tips and acetone but it was worth it rather than painting the whole thing
