Lower valance question...
I have read that alot of guys cut the lower valance to improve the looks of the front of the truck. I have a question about this. I looked under my truck when I was looking for the block heater plug and noticed that my truck has two brackets behind the valance that are only 1/2" to 1" shorter than the valance. Is everyone just taking this bracket off when they cut the valance shorter?

Not sure that we are talking about the same thing. My truck has two "L" shaped brackets that hang down behind the valance. They are probably 4 to 5 inches long. I dont know if they are welded on or bolted. Havnt looked that far in to it yet.

When i cut mine there were not those brackets there, i am not sure what those are.
I cut mine down to about 2" and it covers everything. |
