Tool box on truck
I just bought a new deep low profile black tool box from tractor supply. I
went to put it on and noticed that when I centered it that it has about a 1"-2" gap on both sides from reaching the edges of the bed. Is this how they all fit on the 08's or do i need to get a different brand. any one have pics of theirs? thanks |

My fullsize from tsc was the same way. The fit to the edge in a half tone, but ours have wider beds. You can get a bigger box I'm sure. I just lived with mine not going all the way to the sides.

99.9% of all toolboxes are like that for 1 main reason. Most people attach their toolboxes with J-hooks that hook under the bed rail. All three toolboxes I have ever had have been attached with J-hooks. If you didn't have the space there, your only option to attach the toolbox would to be to drill holes in the bed rail.

Never had one reach the edge of the bed either... always an inch or two of play..

You'll need a photbucket account or similar (they are free) and you copy the link to the picture, not the address up in the web browser, but when you hover over a pic in photobucket you can choose which options and 1 of them is copy. Then you come over to the thread and paste the links here.
