Opinions on Recon cab lights.

I am looking to buy some cab lights for the 250. I have been looking at the OEM harness and lenses but want the smoked lenses. I hate to buy the orange lenses and never use them. I just need to know if the Recon base and harness is comparable to the OEM. I also need some info from guys with lights already installed.... are the outter lights straight with the truck or do they angle in so the front of the lense follows the curve of the windshield?

Josh

I am interested to see the feedback on this. I am looking to do the same thing and have heard some bad things about recon, but mostly on the headlights and brake lights. Haven't heard anything on the cab lights.

I smoked my mirror lights myself and they turned out great. The best bet may just be to get the factory lights and smoke them with night shade.

I read that entire thing and that's what scared me from buying their cab lights. I went with OEM and installed them last night.

I've heard great things about this or getting a paint shop to do it as well.

All of the lights point straight towards the front of the truck.

Do you have any pictures? How hard was the install?

I appreciate it, I am going to start a write-up tonight with part numbers and some more how to on areas that have been overlooked in other write-ups.

I'll have to do some investigating and make 100% sure I get my facts straight for an install on something newer than mine, but I'll be more than glad to help.

Here are a few pics till I can get it together:

I'll do my best to have the write up posted tonight and I'll send ya'll the link.

Oh, and install wasn't bad, just pay close attention to detail and don't rush anything!
