Need Opinions On Side Badges

I was going to get innerlays made for my side badges. I have the inner lay for "V8 POWER STROKE " so for. On my last truck it looked good doing it the same color of the truck. With the DSG it doesn't stick out as much. The color that the guy has isn't quite the same, but was the closest he had in stock. I will have him order something a little darker if I go with DSG lays. You can see the difference in color by looking at the painted part of the badge. So my question is should I get DSG or Black inner lays? I was also thinking of painting the badge black with DSG inner lays, but don't think that will go with the chrome bumpers and grill. Let me know what ya'll think?

I made my own for about 30 or 40 bucks from woven stainless steel

I had them order a darker shade and find it looks much better now. Just have to order the billet inserts now.
