This is why you dont buy from Rough Country

This is a convo I literally just had with Rough Country. If you read this you will see that he states that I was sent the wrong product in more words than 1 and is still unwilling to even let me buy the right ones. This is why I am now going to order OUO traction blocks. Other than the add a leafs the rest of the kit was great and rides awesome but without customer service I would never buy from them again.

[Ryan] Hello, how may I help you?
[aj] do you offer extended rear brake lines for 08 f250
[Ryan] no we do not
[aj] I was looking at the drawings of the 6" kit it is showed rx hoops and dual shock set up. I want to change mine to this how do i order it
[aj] when will 2.2 shocks be available
[Ryan] Those are actually not available yet both the dual shocks and the 2.2 shocks should be ready hopefully next year
[aj] do you have 6" rear anti wrap blocks
[Ryan] not that I sell outside of the kit
[aj] can i buy just the 8"
[Ryan] no they are only sold in the kits
[aj] may i ask why not. Many other manufactuers let you buy pieces
[Ryan] If they are not installed with the correct hardware or other components that are needed with them it can cause damage and we can be held liable. So we only sell them in the lift kits where we know you have all the correct components
[aj] So basically RC would rather me buy this same product from another manufactuer when I have already given them my bussiness when i ordered the kit but didnt have the money to do the antiwrap blocks and just want to upgrade my existing 6" kit
[aj] hello
[Ryan] no one else offers the anti wrap blocks. If you bought the kit it would have been included
[aj] well I purchased the 6" kit about 6 months ago and I recieved a 2.5" block and add a leaf for the rear. The add a leaf has already cracked 2 times and replacements have been sent to me. I want to eliminate the RC add a leaf because this has caused me much extra money in labor just switching out the leaf.
[aj] I can buy almost identical blocks on ebay. Bolts go thru the block preventing it from wraping
[Ryan] My insurance company will not allow me to sell them outside of the kit
[aj] So i imagine that i will not be able to upgrade to the hoops and dual shocks either
[Ryan] Those are sold as an upgrade not in the kit. Once they are available yes you could buy those
[aj] This is very upsetting. I find that I have no choice other than to post this convo on all of the diesel forums I am a member of so this doesnt happen to anyone else. Thanks

its a Pure peformance lift 8" with 40x13.50 tires its been ajusted to about 10" of lift

only problem is that i had to stack the factory blocks with the new blocks so thats like 9" of block in the back and i do not like that. im trying to find some traction bars to make it safer I just dont want to spend the money on a whole new (traction block kit and Ubolts) I just want the traction bars i think that will hold them in just fine?

I think you need to call and talk to Davy.

Just got done talking with him and he is not sure what the deal was.

He said they only offer the 8" fabbed anti-wrap blocks for the 08-10 models. Something was changed in the rear that does not allow the 6" fabbed block to work

199.95 for the box kit and you will get some parts you won't need but that is how they have to sell it.

Call Davy at 866-430-0446 and he will take care of it for you.

PS... Before you start bashing companies, make sure you talk to the right people.
