Is Rust on Suspension Normal?
I just purchased a new 2010 F-250 yesterday. As I was labout to leave with it I looked under the truck and seen all this rust. The salesman said he was going to see what they can do about it and let me know on Monday. Is this normal or should it be nice and shiny like the rest. I'm very anal so if this isn't a normal issue I will make sure the dealer paints it or I'll paint it myself if not.
Sorry the picture is a little hazy.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.
That doesn't look good. My 07 w/ 60K looks better than that (dirtier, but less rust), heck, my 99 with 110K looked better than that. It's like those parts never got painted, they just let the bare metal do it's thing, RUST

This has been brought up by other members with 2010's. It looks like this is something they skimped on to save money along the way to raise profits. Seems dumb to me, but you're not the only one that has noticed it. I'd be going to the dealer to see if you can get them to do something, a brand new truck shouldn't be rusted like that already.....

i would make them replace the parts if you are buying a NEW 2010. Otherwise tell them that you will find a truck that you like elsewhere.
