Finally got around to it (PICS)

Yup painted the side vents. I found a bronze/brown paint for the insert and black for the vent. I think they turned out pretty well. Getting the damn things off sucked!!

hit the surface with 1000g and cleaned before painting

haha no but i should have, I just wanted something different and tried to color match in a way.
