FX4 grill
Curious... the chrome package grill I have is a FX4 grill just all chrome... has anyone skuffed the hell out of the chrome and painted the outter shell body color and left the grill part of it chrome? Or maybe I should just try and trade for a FX4 grill?

You can get a brand new one from tascaparts for about $350. Then you could sell yours and recover most of that cost. Then you wont have to "wonder" about doing it right. (its probably gonna cost you at least $100 - $150 in materials/paint/labor to do yours) I'm almost positive you could get at least $250 for your grille.
Just an option.... |

Yea might be worth it to buy a painted one and swap it. Mine had chips in the chrome so wasn't worth anything to sell I don't think.

I guarantee the paint would stick if you sanded it well enough, just use a somewhat rough grit and work your way up to a fine grit, Ive painted chrome parts on my trucks before and it holds up fine.
