Puting lift on and got ????
Hi i have a 2inch lift ready to put on my truck. i heard from a guy that i will half to reajust my stearing wheel after i lift the front because the stearing wheel will not be center !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone heard of this????

you will have to straighten the steering wheel with the adjustment on the drag link from the pitman arm to the spindle. simple deal.

Yeah, and your entire front axle will move slightly toward the driver's side of the truck. This can be rectified by installing an adjustable track bar or by lowering the track bar bracket with spacers or by installing a different track bar bracket. I just adjusted the collar on my drag link, and straightened it right up. Just be aware that a very small adjustment is necessary.

It's right here:
[IMG] [/IMG]It's a small threaded collar that shortens/lengthens the drag link. Turn it one way, the steering the bar gets shorter. Turn it the other way, the bar gets longer. Move it one way or the other to center the steering wheel. This does not affect alignment at all. |
