help on cap for crew cab short bed

sorry guys i started this same thread in another section, but this is where it should be. i was looking for some info on buying a cap for my truck. i have a tonneau cover now but need more room. just wanted to see what guys have that they like, or things they dont like. i am very curious to see how they make it work with the tailgate step. pics would be great. thanks in advance

Here's Mine, I have a '08 with the Tailgate Step too.

This is the Leer 100XQ. It is the ONLY Leer Model that will fit ALL Years of F250's.

The reason I say that is, It Sits ON TOP of the Bed Rails and Tailgate. Others Clamp lower and of course, the Tailgate Trim is Different on the '08 and Up.

thanks looks great!! so around the tailgate does water get in? so the glass just sits above the tailgate, no gasket?

Thanks for the Compliment. I think the Leer fits Great and Matches the Styling of the truck!

I don't think it is Waterproof, but I'm sure it is going to Stop Most of the water.

In the 3rd picture, Drivers Side Rear, you can see the Tailgate Trim and the back Window. The Glass is Shiny and the tailgate is black. Look where they come together.

As for the Rear Window, it has a plastic trimmed bottom edge with a rubber flap. It sits on the Tailgate just fine.

I put it on quickly when I got it, it was cold outside, I will probably take it off and clean and seal everything when the weather warms up.

I really like it.

Keep an eye out on Craigslist and Ebay, but remember Some Models Shut AFTER the tailgate is closed and that's where the '08 and Up will have trouble.

Not trying to insult, but didnt that camper come off an earlier model truck? Maybe the new ones will fit a little better? not trying to bash but i remeber reading a bad *** story about someone trading a tonnuea for a camper.

EDIT: P.S. since reading that story, i am obessively craigslisting it. hoping for a wht short bed camper that will trade for tonnuea!
