Train horn help!!!
Looking into getting a set of Horns. I like the K3LA's!!! Is it worth the money to buy the expensive ones or just cheap train horns? I actually have 2 five gallon tanks as of right now off of offroad trucks. Just need to put them on my truck. Would also like to use my air for air bags and inflate tires to toys like ATV's and such... So what would you go with?
Here is what I was thinking for parts: Dual Pewter Viair 480C Air Compressor Kit (480) Constant Duty, 200 PSI, 100% Duty, 3.53 CFM Low Price: $379.95 or Air Zenith OB2 Air Compressor Constant Duty, 200 PSI, 100% Duty, 3.8 CFM Low Price: $349.99 Plus I will probably go with bigger air lines. The bigger the better right? Give me your 101. Pro's and con's of your system and what you would and wouldn't change if you had to do it all over again... |

Here is what I would do. I would get the viair compressors, 200 psi pressure switch, run 3/8 valve and line and the kl3 horns. That will be sick.
I have basically that setup but I have two sets of triple trumpet chrome horns and only 6 gallons of air. |

My set up is no where as nice as what your looking into. I have Omega Triple Trains ran at 150psi. 2 gallon tank, 3/8'' lines. The only thing i would change is to 1/2'' line and a larger tank.

Where did you guys gets your stuff from? Actually buying the parts separate might be more expensive but this way I can get what I want and need instead of a bunch of wasted stuff that I may not want or need.

I pieced mine. Got the horns from ebay, the tank is off a wheelbarrow compressor and the compressor (not mounted yet) is a York A/C compressor off of a 70's Chrysler
