Adjustable Link Arms

I am thinking of getting some OUO adjustable link arms. Do I need to keep the radius drop arm brackets that came with my Icon kit?

You can leave them on or take them off. If there is more than 6" of lift you have to the drop brackets.

Now if I get a pair of the coilovers and crank them to about six inches, I should keep the brackets. I assume that I will still be ok with the 4.5" box kit. I shouldn't have to get the 7"? Also, I should probably get some brake lines instead of using the extension brackets? Anything else you can think of if I want to get some coilovers later down the line?
