I have to apologize in advance for the pics...had to use my BB since I went to use my camera and the screen was smashed (drunken Halloween I assume).

Anyway, I decided to go with some projectors instead of the Harley lights. I know not everyone likes the look of them but I love the way they look on the truck. I also ordered some Recon taillights.

I didn't realize the XL grilles were textured so won't be able to paint the one I just bought. My painter said he can probably have the chrome grille bead blasted for paint...it worked on the side vents he's painting gloss black this afternoon.

So I threw the XL grille on just to get an idea of how a black grille surround with my RBP inserts would look. What do you guys think after looking at these pics...gloss black grille surround with my black RBP inserts or a silver grille surround with my black RBP inserts? I have the weekend to decide...the are going to spray it Monday.

For some reason to me, black grills on anything besides a black truck, just make it look like a work truck. I'd do color matched.

I like it!

Black Grille does look like a Work Truck, but I think it Looks Tough!

We need some Daylight Pictures with No Shadows to make a Decision.

Ok here are some better pics for you...got my camera to take pics but the shudder is jacked so some of the pics have dark spots. Also got the side vents and interior pieces in. I really think it would look good gloss black or silver.

I'm sticking with my Original Suggestion.

Gloss Black!

I like it already, but I think Gloss is the Answer.

Try the Chrome Grille again with all of these Black Parts. That will give you some perspective on the Silver Paint.

Also, if you don't already, I think you will need the Super Duty on the Tailgate in Black too.

Oh yeah, I like the Headlights too. I'd like pictures with the Park Lamps on, and then the Lights.

Do they have the "Angel Eyes" like a Halo around the Projection Bulb?

I think the color matched grill with the insert is gonna look sick! I think you should look into some recon tinted clearance lights too, need something on the roof. I'd like to know the maker of the headlights, and after you have them for a while how they hold up. Have heard stories of some projector style lights being cheap.

The grille is already at the paint shop so don't have it to compare. My painter said he could redo it for $100 if I want to repaint it a different color down the road. I plan to get the black Super Duty on the tailgate once I get it fixed...the cables popped off when I was hauling my dirt bike and it bounced against my bumper denting it in a few spots.

Here are a few pics. Yes they have the CCFL halo's around the projectors. I'm going to get some 6000K HIDs for the low beams but I really like the light output on these compared to stock.

Driving Lights

Low Beam Headlights

Thanks. To be honest I'm not a fan of clearance lights so won't be going that route. I got the lights off of Ebay...made by Eagle Eyes I think. I hope they hold up. I know a few people have had a few issues with them with others haven't had any problems. We will see I guess.

I really like the painted interior pieces, I've been thinking about doing it too. Did you paint the two edge pieces of trim from the dash too or no?

you can paint the texture grilles... you just have to sand them and use heavy primer and do a little more sanding... I see it done all the time... none the less looks good enough to give you a B-... A+ once my bumpers are on it... LMAO... keep up the good work
