traction bars
i got a new welder and im gonna make me some traction bars, does anyone have a list of what all i will need and some measurements.

can someone at least point me in the right direction i just need some measurments and pics please, i need bars bad but canot afford the 1000 bars, so im gonna make some myself for alot cheaper.

I was thinking the same thing, for $480 it pays to just buy them instead of trying to do them yourself. My farmboy bars are working great

Buy 1" thread joints of your choice. Get some 7/8" ID w/ 3/8" wall from local metal yard.
Have machine shop thread the inside of your tubes for the endlinks. Have machine shop cut you two sets of axle mounts. 3.5" diameter is the axle. Have them hang down at least 2-3 inches off the bottom of the axle. Take a peice of 3x3 3/8" wall angle and weld two tabs on the bottom. Other then drilling holes, that's all you need.
