Recon Cab lights

installed the recon cab lights today and all is well. just wonderin about the way its wired up. its wired up to the headlight switch to come on with the parking lights....but i noticed when i lock the truck and the mirror and parking lights flash, the cab light do not....not that that is an issue but i would like to know why they dont as i want to make it to where they do...i read where the factory harness is supposed to hook up but since this is a Recon kit, it didnt not go to the factory plug...

Where do the recons plug into?

messed with the lights today...when you lock the truck, they do not flash but the mirror and parking lights do...
when you unlock the truck, they come on.
looked under the dash and i assume the gray square headed plug is for a factory cab light harness to plus into.
well my green wire from the Recon lights taps into the purple wire on that gray plug
so are they not supposed to flash when you lock the truck??? i always thought they were...

Not sure if this helps, but I have the factory cab lights... (recon lenses, and recon mirrors as well). When I lock my truck, the cab lights do NOT flash, but the parking lights and mirror lenses do. When you unlock it, the headlights, mirror lights, and cab lights all come on. So it sounds like Recon just copied the factory setup as far as the wiring.

just what mine does....so maybe i got it rite then. on my previous truck is it was different...and my buddies 2001 F-250 with factory cab lights with the Recon swap, they flash when you lock it....so im not sure...

Not sure if this helps since I have an older truck but both lock and unlock make them flash on my 04. I am sure it may be different on the 08's.

i guess i need to ride down to the dealership and look at a new truck with factory cab lights and see what it does...

my comment above was with factory cab lights. only the lenses (covers) were changed. they won't flash when you lock it. they will light up when you unlock if its dark enough for the headlights to come on.

It is not the parking light that light. It is the turn signals. My upper bulb on the mirrors flash not the parking lights.
