Ford Gold alarm/remote start
Does anyone know how to get into program mode? I am wanting to change my alarm where it will start in 5 seconds instead of the 30 seconds.
Thanks -mayo |

1-open drivers door 2-turn key to on 3-press and hold override button(lower or under dash)for 10 sec. horn will chirp 3 times 4-release override button 5-press and release override button until the horn chirps 7 times(this is bank#4) 6-press panic button on remote until horn chirps 5 times(diesel timer)alarm led will be on solid 7-press lock button on remote(alarm led will turn off) you truck will now start about 3 sec. after key on with remote. all of this info is on the ford website but takes some digging to find,i installed my own and it works great, i got the instructions from there site, dealer was no help |

boostin-- Thanks for your help - appreciate it. I actually have the same instructions (cant remember where I got them). Anyways, after reading your post I got to thinking bout the fuse I removed to keep my lights from coming on when i open my door(s). Popped her back in & the programming worked. There is something else I wanted to change as well now but I cant remember.....gotta find my instructions & figure out what it was before I take my fuse back out! -mayo |

i had the regular keyless entry, installation is pretty straight forward with the instructions telling where to make connections and what color the wire is,cost was about 350-400 with pats(coded key) adapter, bought from dealer for b-day by my wife, works really well. mayo-glad you figured out what was up with yours

changed the timing from 10 min to 15 min.....also changed it to where it doesn't honk when it starts- but i noticed it doesn't honk to tell me it is gonna start either(it used to honk twice) so i might change that back.... also, for anyone that cares, I put my fuse back in, (for the dome lights) evidently, the alarm feeds off that & wouldn't go off if the door opened.............good thing those fkers(that smashed my window monday) didn't get my HK, rock river & .22 pistol the other night after smashing my window.............guess they knew i had an alarm & only wanted to snatch the 32g itouch Last edited by mmayo : 07-02-2009 at 09:07 PM. |

I was quoted from the dealer, adding the remote start would be about $485 or $385 (can't remember). Currently I have the full alarm minus the remote start. Seems a little steep, gonna have to check on how much for just the parts.
