Are you asking for the 2008 or 2009?

There are none on the 2008 model.

On the 2009 the amp is in the same location as where the sirius module is mounted. The Sync module in the 2009 can be seen by removing the passenger kick panel and/or air condition vent panel.

just finished up (not finished to my satisfaction, but working) my install. and FYI if you have a sirius receiver factory installed on your 09 or 10 and are just upgrading to the navigation unit. you only need to install the splitter from the antenna because the antenna that you have is the same as the antenna that you will be buying on ebay.

im still looking for the camera harness or the part number for the harness. and waiting for the correct switch for the steering wheel controls the one with the voice and media on the top buttons and the phone on the bottom. mine currently has the phone and ok on the bottom and doesn't activate the phone when pressed. hopefully when the new switch comes in it will work correctly other wise i'll be looking for a sync to radio harness too.

here is a list of part numbers that i have accumulated so far. i will update as i get more or figure out more about the glitches:

head unit 9L1T-18K931-AH
amp 9L1T-18T805-AB
splitter 9L8T-19C181-AA
t harness 4S7T-14489-YRA
sync 9C3T-14B28-CE
switch (with no lower button) 8L2Z-9C888-BA
switch (with lower phone button and OK button) 8L2Z-9C888-CA

I will try and update this post as I learn more.

Im looking for pin outs for the head unit, amp, camera, and sync unit if any one can lend a hand or some info. It would be greatly appreciated and returned to the group as useful info and short cuts that will make the installs cheaper and easier.

still looking for correct steering wheel switch. can modify the one with the ok and the phone, but the phone will operate from the ok button.
got voice working with sync thanks to homemade patch harness from a guy on ebay (had to run a better quality, smaller gauge, shielded mic cable and scrap his bc the one he supplied was giving me problems with the voice recognition (too much capacitance)).
made my own patch harness for the camera (only three wires, two at the head unit and three in the harness) working great, now can view camera in the mirror and on the nav at the same time

For those who have PM'd me asking where to buy the parts, here is the person to contact, he sells a kit on ebay "head unit, amp and wire harness" (not including Sync, not sure it's feasible or possible to do Sync in a 08)

If anyone wants new '09 Nav units OEM Intergration Specialists has them at a better price than the dealer, including amp, ant., wires, etc.
Fwiw.

Update: They are back-ordered 90 days

What is the purpose of the amp? Does my current 6 disk changer not have one?

your 6 disc has an internal amp. the 09 and newer units have an external amp that mounts where the Sirius satellite unit is (next to the parking brake under the dash) the new nav has a Sirius receiver built into the nav unit.

is your antenna a factory Sirius antenna mounted to the trucks roof already? if so you need to pick up a signal splitter for the antenna as its used for the gps and the Sirius all in one. so you will need the nav, amp, amp harness (goes between the speaker wires you already have, the amp and the nav), signal splitter for the antenna and possibly steering control switch( i would need to see a picture or know the part number of your current switch)

Sorry to ask this if it has alreasy been answered but Im kinda out of the loop on the sync and things. Ive got an 08 350 with the basic radio, no steering controls or anything. Can the 09 nav be installed with the weather stuff, that and the navigation would be all I really care about. I wouldnt mind the steering controls if they werent to expensive to add but not a neccessity. Also if I found a deal on an 08 nav would it be any easier to install. Nav is what I really want but want it to be oem. but the weather would be really nice also.
