Correct, if your truck came loaded there will be no splicing needed. The only problem that may arise would be if the unit you buy is not programmed for those options.

I'm trying to get in contact with the guy who sells the Amp and wire harness. I will post once I hear from him.

As for the Sync, I found the module and wire harness on ebay. I'm waiting for them to be shipped but like I've said I'm not even sure the Sync mod is possible on the 2008 because the Super Duty did not come with the Sync option, no APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module).

As for the antenna, here's the one I bought.....

Sync

Great, thanks! I know Ford offers a Sync kit for retrofitting 08 Navigators and Mustangs, i wonder if that kit can be made to work on an 08 Super Duty. They also sell a Sync kit for 09 Super Duty that might work.

The trucks are pretty much unchanged from 08 to 09 except for the new Nav system which i would be installing anyway. You found a guy who is an expert in these systems?

I know of no expert, just a guy who sells the Amp and Harness.

Not sure if the Sync mod you speak of will work because the Nav/Radio wire harness in the 2008 SD is not the same as the 2009 SD. That is why you need to buy a wire harness to install the 2009 Nav in a 2008.

Now if you own a 2009 SD and it came with the standard radio then I would suspect you could upgrade to the Nav unit and buy the Sync upgrade (if there is one for the SD).

Yes sir but not while in motion. For that you'd need a Ford Lockpic.

If your asking will the 2009 Super Duty NAV unit work in a 2008 F150 the answer is yes.

My question is geared more towards is the process the same, wire harness, amp, antenna, and 2009 sync nav unit for the F150. I am wondering if your supplier has tried these on F150 in addition to superduty?

Thanks,

So one more question, the programming puts in the model of vehicle, and all of the options, am I correct. And as so, since there was no option for sync in 2008, the radio may not be able to handle programming for this since I guess it will be vin specific.

If I can get the parts, I am seriously considering doing this, even though it will be on a f150, (don't bash me too bad, didn't need the capacity of the superduty.)

Thanks,
