SIRIUS Problem (No sound)

Hello all.

I have searched the forum and tried the suggested fixes for my SIRIUS problem. No luck so far. It's the familiar problem of no sound. The FM/AM works fine.

2010 F250

I have checked the fuzes for the radio and the SIRIUS (#3, #40), disconnected both batteries for several minutes, had SIRIUS resend me the signal, and took to the dealer. Nothing.

I am pretty sure it's talking with the SAT because as soon as I switched my account to this radio the channels updated and I can see them on the radio display, but with no sound.

Do you guys have any other suggestions? The dealer wants to put me in a rental for a couple days while they spend more time trying to figure it out but I'd rather just avoid that hassle.

Thanks.

I dont know about your truck but when I purchased my harley the previous owner had a banks 6 gun tuner with the touch screen and I was not getting any sound through my sirius either but fm and am was fine. I took out the banks stuff and found that the touchscreen had a hookup for some sort of hands free or bluetooth and once I unhooked all that stuff, VIOLA, I had my sirius back. Hope you figure it out.

Well, I called SIRIUS back to at least get them to pro-rate my bill for the time I haven't been able to listen. They did, but not before putting me through the painful process of talking to their foreign tech folks.

I'll not bore you with the details but there was frustration on both ends of that call....

And my SAT radio still doesn't work.

I had a pretty new portable unit that I took out of my old truck. This morning I disconnected the ANT from the factory SAT module and plugged it into the portable unit. BINGO! Sound clear as a bell.

So, after a few minutes rerouting the ANT cable and hiding the power chord for the portable unit and I'm back in business. Looks nice and clean and it works. I'm using the unit's built in Frequency Modulator to listen through the radio, so my AUX port is still free.

To top it off, SIRIUS waived the fee to switch radios since I've had so much trouble with the truck radio over the last week. I'm happy with it all. In the end this unit does more than the stock radio anyhow.
