Hey guys, I have a line on a navigation unit from a 2010 Escape and was wondering if it would be compatible with my 08 Super Duty. I have a buddy who works at the local Ford Dealer who could program it for me if need be. The same goes for a unit from a 2012 F-150.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Both of those units would have blue button backlighting...your truck should have green. Further, the tools the ford dealers have wont allow them to program these navigation units for your truck. Their tools only allow them to program them in a vehicle in which this nav was an option.

There are really only two options for programming. 4D Tech, Inc. | Ford Navigation and Accessories and United Radio. I think United Radio will do it but only if you tell them exactly what you want it to be...you have to tell the value to use for each setting. The other place (4D Tech, Inc. | Ford Navigation and Accessories) will be able to help you out though. They will even be able to change out the button lighting for you to make right for your truck.
